For several years I have been sewing handmade clothing to sell at markets and creating custom orders for clients. I've sewn literally thousands of dresses, building my skills in sewing, design, and pattern drafting along the way.  During this time I've had so many people ask me if I could teach them to sew, or if I could share my sewing patterns with them.  And so, this sewing pattern collection was born.  As I was developing these patterns, I knew I wanted to create designs that were appealing to both beginners and experienced sewists alike, with step-by-step instructions, fitting guides, and everything needed to successfully make a beautiful garment you can be proud of.  

 

I strongly believe that sewing should be fun - not frustrating - which is why my first thought when I begin a new design is, "How will this garment be put together? How will I explain to someone else how to make this?" so that you can have an enjoyable and frustration-free sewing experience.   Each tutorial includes links to supporting blog posts and videos to help you along the way, and I also encourage customers to email me if they have any questions as they work through the pattern.

On a more personal note, I should also share that I am a mom to two beautiful kids, three dogs, three cats*, and one lizard in the Upstate South Carolina region.  My sewing room is a pet-free zone but the cats live their lives trying to find ways to sneak in.
