Freya Dress Sewing Pattern
Freya is a comfortable midi-length house dress with a flattering high waistline, inseam pockets and removable waist ties. The fit strikes that perfect balance of being comfortable and easy fitting without being too oversized. Choose from short or 3/4 length bell sleeves or half length ruffle sleeves. You can also choose to make either a simple skirt or ruffle-tiered skirt. This sewing pattern is beginner-friendly, but sewists of all skill levels will find something to love. For absolute beginners, I recommend starting with the bell sleeves and simple skirt version as a perfect first time dressmaking project.
This pattern is appropriate for light to medium weight woven fabrics with good drape (the pattern includes a full list of suggested fabrics). It is recommended to use 56" wide fabric due to the fullness of the skirt. Exact fabric requirements will depend on the variation you are making. The tutorial includes a fabric requiement chart detail the amount of fabric needed for each pattern piece.
